Our Long-Standing Partner ComSet AG in an Interview

Since 1997, ComSet AG has been offering its IT services to various small and medium-sized enterprises in and around Bern. In recent years, they have increasingly relied on our cloud backup solution and are extremely satisfied with it, as are their own customers.

For our second partner interview, we had the opportunity to ask our questions to Jan Schwärzel, Managing Director at ComSet AG, and learn interesting things about our products and collaboration.

Six Questions for Jan Schwärzel

Sandro Hostettler for Backup ONE: You've been a long-term partner of Backup ONE AG and have been using our cloud backup solution for quite some time. What made you decide to work with us?

Jan Schwärzel: Various reasons led to this decision. One of them was that we had been using Acronis products for over 15 years. Since the cloud backup is based on their products, there was already a great foundation of trust from the beginning.

Sandro Hostettler: What other reasons were there?

Jan Schwärzel: Naturally, we didn't want to simply discard our existing knowledge, and the data location in Switzerland, specifically Bern, was very interesting for us since our customers are also located in the greater Bern area.

Sandro Hostettler: Your reference list is long. Besides municipal administrations, ComSet AG also serves financial service companies and doctors. The requirements for IT infrastructure must be quite demanding?

Jan Schwärzel: Definitely. Companies - regardless of their sector - that need to meet regulatory requirements, for example for data backup, have high security requirements for their internal IT. Then it doesn't matter if the service is advertised a few francs cheaper abroad. The guarantee that the data stays in the country is crucial for many customers.
