1. To back up your QNAP NAS, you need «Hybrid Backup Sync«. You can easily install the application in the App Center.

2. After opening «Hybrid Backup Sync«, you have the option to select «Backup & Restore» in the left side navigation and then create a new connection, as shown in the attached screenshot.

3. Now you have the option to select S3-compatible storage.

4. Please note that you need to select «S3 Compatible» as the service provider to access S3.

5. Now enter your S3 account information that you received from us.
Notes on server addresses:
• General URL: ch.s3cloud.ch:443 (Also works for Single Site accounts)
• Direct URL CH-EAST: ch-east.s3cloud.ch:443

6. Now you can create a new backup.

7. Please select the desired folder that should be backed up.

8. Here you have the option to either select an existing bucket or create a new one.
Note: New buckets can be created depending on the S3 account permissions.

9. Select the corresponding bucket so that it appears grayed out.

10. You will then receive an overview of the selected folders and paths.

11. There is the possibility to configure different schedules and also set rules and policies.

12. Finally, you will receive a summary of the configurations.

13. You can now start the first backup.
