OS X Mojave – Backup completed with warnings
Problem: After updating to OS X Mojave, you receive the message that the «Backup completed with warnings». The backup was not performed.
Problem description/Cause: This issue occurs when the Backup Agent was already installed before updating to OS X Mojave and was not updated to the latest version. The cause is that the Backup Agent no longer has permission to access the files it wants to back up.
Solution: Reinstall the Backup Agent to reset permissions
- Download the latest version of the Backup Agent for Mac/OS X at portal.backup.ch/login. After logging in, click «Add» in the top right and select «Mac».
- Open the installation program by clicking on the icon
- Follow the on-screen instructions. When the following window appears, please click «Register the machine». Confirm the registration after logging into your Backup Management Portal by clicking «Confirm».
- Now you need to grant the Backup Agent permission for full disk access. The agent can only access the backup data with this permission. You can grant this to the agent by following the instructions in the window below:
