Synchronize Synology NAS with S3-compatible storage

Instructions

1. To synchronize your Synology NAS, you need «Cloud Sync«. You can easily install the application in the Package Center.

2. After opening «Cloud Sync«, you have the option to select the S3 storage by scrolling down.

3. For S3 server, select «Custom Server URL«.

4. Now enter your S3 account information that you received from us.

Information about server addresses:
General URL: ch.s3cloud.ch:443 (Also works for single site accounts)
Direct URL CH-EAST: ch-east.s3cloud.ch:443

You can now select the existing bucket.

Note: Depending on the S3 account permissions, new buckets can be created.

5. Select the desired directories and subfolders you want to synchronize and the directory on the S3 storage.

6. Detailed synchronization settings can be configured, such as the execution schedule, client-side encryption, and synchronization direction.

• Once you have configured the settings, the first synchronization can be performed.
• Please note that this process may take some time depending on the amount of data.
