OS X Catalina: Install Backup Agent for Mac
Problem
On OS X Catalina, the following message appears when installing the Backup Agent for Mac:
Cause
OS X Catalina has introduced a series of security enhancements that perform background checks during installation. Backup ONE welcomes this security measure but has not yet implemented this standard in its own environment. An update will follow shortly.
Solution
To install the Backup Agent anyway, you can proceed as follows:
- Perform the regular installation until the following message appears:
- Open System Preferences -> Security and click on «Open Anyway» at the bottom (Important: The «Open Anyway» button only appears if you have previously attempted the unsuccessful installation).
- Complete the installation as usual by following the on-screen instructions.
