Uninstallation on Windows
- Click the Start button and then Settings > Apps.
- Select the program you want to remove and then click Uninstall.
- Recommended: For a complete uninstallation of all logs and databases, check the box:
- Done!
Recommended Complete Uninstallation on Mac
- Open Terminal
- Navigate to the root directory using the command
cd ../../../
- Enter the command
/Library/Application\ Support/BackupClient/Acronis/BackupAndRecovery/uninstall.sh -a
to start the uninstallation. The parameter -a (stands for all) ensures that all logs and databases are also uninstalled.
Alternative Method for Mac
- Open the .dmg installation image or download it again at www.backup.ch/login.
- Click on «Uninstall»:
- Done.
Note: with this method, the client will be uninstalled, but the log files and databases will remain.
Cleanup Utility / Complete Cleanup
For Windows and Mac: If you experience problems with uninstalling/installing or reinstalling the Backup Agent, you can use the Cleanup Utility to perform a complete removal of the agent including all associated components. Please follow the instructions here.
