To keep pace with growing and evolving business requirements, CSS decided to replace its existing EMC Centera infrastructure with the high-performance, all-flash Dell ECS EXF900 system. This migration—Switzerland’s very first installation of its kind—ensures CSS is positioned for the future.

Efficient migration by Backup ONE

Backup ONE’s implementation of the Dell ECS EXF900 at CSS Insurance ran smoothly. In roughly one month, about three billion objects were migrated using the ECS Sync tool. The move was carried out in close collaboration with the CSS storage team and included validation and cut-over to the new infrastructure. Performance measurements and monitoring were also introduced to guarantee seamless integration and improved efficiency.

Thanks to S3 compatibility, the new solution could be integrated effortlessly into existing systems. The high-performance all-flash platform provides CSS with a fast, scalable and future-proof storage infrastructure that meets rising business demands.
